Running to be a County Representative at the 2020 Special State Convention

County Representatives will be required to attend a special Arkansas State Convention on May 30, 2020 in Little Rock. There, these County Representatives will elect the delegates that Arkansas will send to the National Democratic Convention in the summer of 2020.

*This is just the first phase of the delegate selection process and is NOT the filing process to run as a delegate to the July Democratic National Convention. You do not have to file to be a County Representative in order to run to be a delegate. However, if you are considering running as a delegate to the National Convention, it may be beneficial to you to be a voting county representative as well. Benton County will have a set number of representative positions to fill for the May convention. The DPBC will hold their County Convention on March 9 to vote on County Representative positions from those who filed in November. We will share more information about the delegate selection process when it becomes available from the Democratic Party of Arkansas.
